What Are The Benefits of Becoming An MYC
Teacher?
|
(a) Your Own Territory
A teacher is given an exclusive right for the territory that
she or he is teaching in.
(b) Increased Income
MYC teachers work with a group of maximum 6 children rather
than individuals, their hourly income is increased by a
minimum of few folds! Also, MYC teachers have potentially
more income hours because they can offer preschool classes
during weekdays mornings and early afternoon.
|
 |
(c) MYC Teacher Training
A comprehensive training is provided, supported with detailed
teaching manuals, course materials, VCDs and DVDs.
(d) MYC On-going Support
MYC provides on-going support through the coordinator, internet
web-board, web seminar, student recruitment marketing activities
and a monthly newsletter to share teacher ideas, program
successes and news.
(e) Minimum Set Up Requirement
Because the class-size is small, you do not need much room - a
family room size (about 200 square feet) with a minimum of 5
keyboards and 1 acoustic piano is usually sufficient. Or, you
can rent out a space in a recreation center, church, school or
other facility on a per class basis.
(f) Teacher Input Is Valued
Teacher’s input is valued and encouraged. Music/ education
contributions are reviewed and may be included in appropriate
level texts when they are revised. The MYC curriculum has
benefited from revisions using input from teachers since 1980!
Teachers are compensated for contributions and receive credit in
the text.
